IRON CREATRIX is the chainmail passion project for sacral healing, release, and transmutation crafted by queer Brooklyn-based creative Lyra (she/they) who handcrafts all things shadowed, erotic and bratty from her sakura garden princess boudoir.
Lyra’s longtime vision for eccentric chain lingerie came to life in 2020 out of slow-burning creative necessity with commitment to intention, sustainability, and timelessness. Portions of select sales are donated to mutual aid funds benefitting vulnerable queer and trans BIPOC folks.
Through felicitously timed collections and bespoke requests of stainless steel lingerie sets, accessories, and novelties alike, IRON CREATRIX holds the space for the artifacts of Lyra’s hard imagination.

the creatrix
Born and raised in a hillside metropolitan suburb, Lyra moved to Brooklyn after graduating with honors from Rutgers University in 2018 where she studied feminist theory and identity formation in the Women’s and Gender Studies department. Applications of her education are integral to her artistic and professional endeavors.
The sense of community and belonging found in local arts and dance nightlife inspired the reignition of their creative work as a vehicle for transformation of her own complex trauma.
Lyra now works in service of trauma survivors for restorative justice in their weekday professional life.
